DISCOVERY CHANNEL INTERN COMPETITION | and photo highlights from 2016

2016 has been a year of discovering new tech and toys and growing my little camera family. By far I am most proud of the half-half land/water shots, and one has been selected as a finalist for the Discovery Channel Intern Competition! As one of 50 finalists, the top 25 voted will move on  to the second blogging round, so it would mean a lot to me if you could vote for my picture here, titled ‘Free Diving in El Nido, Philippines” daily (up to 10 times) until January 29th. http://www.discoverychannel.com.au/discovery-intern-competition/

Hope y’all enjoy my other favourites from 2016 🙂 All photos taken by me, edited in Lightroom.

Wow! Lilian’s photography is truly amazing! A multi-faceted talent full of creativity, mastering skilful techniques and rich in artistic sensation and imagination, I have every confidence that Lilian will soon win a prominent place in becoming a world-class freelance photographer, travel writer, editor or publisher beside being already a respectful dentist.

    1. Thank you for the kind words Vincent ☺️

  2. Hello Lilian , very nice meeting on you tube ,remember i asked questions about The view cabins…Any way, Vincent is right ,you are very professional and very artistic
Now is even more admiring because you are a dentist, I thought you ‘re just a young girl from a rich family and have lots of $ to travel , but now I understand travel is another part of your life besides working . Such a great balance
Enjoy as much as you can when you r young 👍
Truly like your videos and now I’m drooling about your aerial photography
I love drone but don’t feel confident enough to control a toy that cost at least 1000
I have a Yuneec Breeze for fun but still nervous and worry about crashing it , but we took it with us on vacation Love the ideas of water dome for gopro, but Knek is expensive, prob look for cheaper one
Thank for your videos , I’m collecting some info for the coming trip of Utah and New Zealand now . BTW i arrange the time to stay in Wanaka 1 night as your suggestion, thx Lilian 💗

    1. Great to hear, you will love Wanaka 🤙🏻 Yes it’s a full on and busy life but I enjoy both jobs/hobbies

      1. Hi Lilian, is Tania again .Our trip to Utah is coming up . I just ordered Mavic Pro 😊 , u know i’m old , and not you tuber😊just love aerial photography after watching your videos.,want to record our memories in the fun ways
Do you think MavicPro is easy to use for beginners? It has object avoidance features so it would be safe huh?
Please give me some ideas please Lilian . Many Thanks

        1. Hi Tania,

I would recommend practicing before your trip, watch a few tutorials on YouTube and in general, fly slowly and within line of sight so you can make sure you don’t crash the drone into anything. Also make sure you get the right permission to fly in the areas you visit!

          1. Thx for your reply , will do 💗
